Based on growing demand and to provide widespread access to businesses across the whole of Guyana, the Centre’s popular Introduction to Oil and Gas Industry Seminar has been tailored into an online computer-based training (CBT) course.

Jointly produced with experts from ExxonMobil, the Centre’s CBT provides the insight and knowledge businesses are looking for to help navigate Guyana’s emerging offshore oil and gas industry and to source new commercial opportunities.

The CBT is open access and available free of charge through the Centre’s online platform. Once registered, users can readily login from any laptop, computer or mobile device with internet access and take the CBT at their own pace.

Dr. Natasha Gaskin-Peters, a prominent local expert and the Centre’s Deputy Director, leads participants through six 20-minute video sections. The videos review the various phases of offshore oil and gas projects, with the last section focused exclusively on offshore projects specific to Guyana.

With the newly launched CBT, businesses or individuals can learn about the oil and gas industry on demand, anytime, anywhere and on any device. The CBT adds to the growing array of professional education and informational products readily available to businesses in Guyana (and abroad) offered by the Centre.
